PSU NDEAM Job Fair Oct. 27: Goodwill, ODOT, Daimler Truck and More Hiring Downtown

PORTLAND, OR — Twenty-two employers are signed up for the NDEAM Job Fair at Portland State University next Tuesday, October 27, a two-and-a-half-hour hiring push on the third floor of Smith Memorial Student Union downtown. The fair is run by JobsNow.org and INCIGHT, the Portland nonprofit that works to open doors for people experiencing disabilities, and it lands right at the end of National Disability Employment Awareness Month.

Five days out: Tuesday, 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM, with caregiving, retail, government, education and warehouse employers at the tables. Register first, and bring a stack of resumes.

Who's Recruiting at the PSU Job Fair

The organizers' employer list on JobsNow.org is the most useful page to read before Tuesday, because each name links to that employer's own careers portal. Some of the bigger names:

Goodwill Industries, with roles from entry-level retail and warehouse work up to management and professional jobs.
Safeway/Albertsons, hiring part-time and full-time store staff.
Daimler Truck, the Swan Island-based truck maker, listing entry-level and driving roles.
ODOT, with construction, skilled trade, IT, accounting and administrative openings.
Portland State University itself, recruiting for office, food service, customer service and professional roles.

The rest of the room includes WorkSource Oregon, Relay Resources, Edustaff, Educational Support Services, Community Commerce, Quad, SwipeJobs and Oregon's Vocational Rehabilitation program. The organizers say recruiters and HR specialists from about 30 companies will be there, so the list may still grow.

Neither the JobsNow.org page nor the Eventbrite listing posts a price, and neither says whether walk-ins are accepted, so treat the Eventbrite sign-up as the way in. The organizers ask registrants to click the registration button only once. No employer has published headcounts or pay for this fair, so check each company's portal for current postings.
